Reading through Ezekiel, I see that many of the prophecies he declared have now been fulfilled, but not Gog and Magog.
This grand coalition of armies will try to take out Israel, but God Himself will fight for them and utterly destroy these armies on the mountains of Israel.
Ezekiel 38:23
And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.’
God is showcasing His greatness so all will know that He alone is God.
Ezekiel 39:7-8
I will make known my holy name among my people Israel. I will no longer let my holy name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the Lord am the Holy One in Israel. 8 It is coming! It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign Lord. This is the day I have spoken of.
God called out Abraham and made him into a great nation. He did this so the whole world would be reminded of His greatness. Even today, 4,000 years later, we still see God displaying His greatness through the Jewish people.
He is not done yet. He has more prophecies yet to be fulfilled.
But why? For His glory.
We don’t have to wait. We can give Him honour and glory right now. We can acknowledge His greatness. We can give Him praise.
Creator God, you made all things, and one day you will restore all things. To you belong all the glory and praise, for you are worthy.
