Let’s invest in our children to love and follow Jesus. — Psalm 127:3–5
I am beyond blessed and very humbled by my kid’s faith.
I remember fighting with God, for months as a teenager, when I realized I would get married and bring children into the world.
What if they decided to reject Jesus and be condemned forever? How could I bring people into the world that would reject God and ultimately be separated from Him forever?
What a struggle to give them over to God and their choices.
Now as a parent I sing with the Psalmist:
Psalm 127:3–5 (NIV84):
3 Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him.
4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one’s youth.
5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.
May we invest in our children. May we teach them God’s word. May we show them what it means to follow and love Jesus.
Father send them into the world to show your love and your message of reconciliation to the world.
Use them to bring many to know and love you.
