“Garbage In Garbage Out” — Proverbs 4:23
This is one of my mom’s sayings. In reading proverbs this morning, I was struck by the call for wisdom and connected to what you decide, what you say, and what you allow to put in your path or what you see.
The center of these proverbs was this deep truth:
Proverbs 4:23 (NIV84)
“Above all else, guard your heart,
for it is the wellspring of life.”
We affect our hearts by what we say, what we do, and what we see.
What kind of life do we want to live? Those are the things we should be saying, doing, seeing, etc…
How am I guarding my heart today? How am I feeding my soul so my life would be more pleasing to my God and my King?
