We can choose to reject God and His call to come to Him. But there is a time when He says enough.

We see this with Israel and specifically Judah.

2 Chronicles 36:15–16

The Lord, the God of their fathers, sent word to them through his messengers again and again, because he had pity on his people and on his dwelling place. 16 But they mocked God’s messengers, despised his words and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the Lord was aroused against his people and there was no remedy.

Then God gave Jerusalem into Nebuchadnezzar’s hands.

It makes me weep for my neighbours, friends, family, and all who are alive today and continue to reject God. I pray they turn to Him and find salvation and forgiveness.

Father, use even us to bring the good news to them.

I am reminded of

2 Peter 2:4-6

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment; 5 if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; 6 if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly?

May we turn to Him and listen to those He sends to us.
