We Should Never Doubt the Words From God — 2 Kings 7:19-20
The Arameans had besieged Samaria for so long that everyone was starving. The prophet Elisha told the king’s officials that the next day, they would be buying food in the market for pennies.
But he did not believe God.
2 Kings 7:19-20 (NIV84) “The officer had said to the man of God, “Look, even if the Lord should open the floodgates of the heavens, could this happen?” The man of God had replied, “You will see it with your own eyes, but you will not eat any of it!” And that is exactly what happened to him, for the people trampled him in the gateway, and he died.”
Sadly, when everyone ran to get the food left from the fleeing army, they trampled this officer.
What about us? What is God saying to us today about our impossible situations?
Are we doubting His word to us?
Let us keep believing in God.
Even in our darkest moments, He is able to rescue and save.
