Jesus was all about the destination John 14:5-14

Philip serves as Executive Director of Grace Fellowship Canada. For over 20 years, he's been on a mission, planting churches from coast to coast in Canada.

Jesus knew His time with the disciples was short. He tells them not to lose heart—He’ll come back and take them with Him. “You know where I’m going,” He says, “and you know the way.”

Thomas blurts out, “Lord, we don’t even know where you’re going—how can we know the way?” I get Thomas. We’ve are reading this 2,000 years later; they were living it, fumbling through the fog

Jesus hits them square: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you’d know my Father too. You’ve seen Him now.”

Jesus isn’t just pointing the path—He is the path. He and the Father are one. To see Him is to see God. Philip, still wrestling, says, “Show us the Father—that’s enough.” Jesus sighs, “Philip, after all this? My words, my miracles—they scream it: I’m Him.”

Here’s the kicker: “You’ve been with me on earth,” Jesus is saying, “and because I’m one with the Father, you’ve tasted eternity with Him already.”

The destination isn’t a place—it’s a forever relationship with God. Jesus clears the way, paying our debt, bridging the gap.

He’s coming back for us. Until then, He’s here. Ask in His name—He’ll move. So, do we see it? The “where” is Him, and that’s everything.
