How do we become wise? What is the key? — Proverbs 1:5, 7
Proverbs 1:7 (NIV84):
7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
When we think we have it all figured out, we are in trouble.
Acknowledging God and seeking His way is really accepting reality. It is Acknowledging the obvious: we don’t have it all figured out, and we are continually dependent on Him for all things.
We fear Him because we will have to give an account to Him for our lives.
Proverbs 1:5 (NIV84):
5 let the wise listen and add to their learning,
and let the discerning get guidance—
Let’s seek wisdom. Let’s fear God. Let’s remind ourselves of our need for Him.
