We see throughout the Bible God’s abiding love and desire to be in a relationship with every person. His immediate response to those who come to Him.
We see it again here:
Zachariah 1:3
This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Return to me,’ declares the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the Lord Almighty.
God was calling the exiles back to the land. He was calling them back into a relationship with Himself.
But God has not changed. He still calls us to Himself. He still desires a relationship with us.
Echoing throughout scripture is God’s invitation to turn to Him. His invitation for a relationship with Him.
From beginning to end God invites us to come to Him.
We see again here:
Revelation 3:20
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
Let’s return to God.
Let’s open the door. God is knocking and desires to be in Fellowship with Him. He had made it possible through the death and resurrection of His Son.
