Here in this world, trapped by time and physical realities, we see the physical things and rulers and nations.
Yet, when God pulls back the curtain just for a brief moment, we see another reality.
God has sent angels to reveal the future to Daniel. Daniel had prayed and asked God to reveal to him what would happen next, especially with the Jewish people.
Daniel 10:12-13
Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. 13 But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.
The angel was sent immediately upon Daniel’s prayer but was hindered by the demon, the prince of Persia, for 21 days. The arch Angel Michael had to fight against the demon over Persia to free up this angel to bring the answer to Daniel’s prayer to him.
A little glimpse into the spiritual world. Which is going on all the time.
We see that these angels support one another and take up the defence for certain nations and rulers.
Daniel 12:1
At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise.
Here, we see that Michael is the protector of the Jewish people.
I am so thankful that God is greater than the forces of evil and that two-thirds of the angels in heaven are not cast down but are fighting with and for Him.
I am reminded of 1 John 4:4
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
We place our faith in the One who holds the future and has overcome the powers of darkness. We pray to Him and place our lives in His hands.
