God established government. We should appeal to the law of the land and watch how God will act.
We find the Jews being questioned for their work to rebuild the temple. The governor of the land asked who gave them permission to do so. They appealed to the king.
Ezra 5:5
But the eye of their God was watching over the elders of the Jews, and they were not stopped until a report could go to Darius and his written reply be received.
Darius gives an incredible response. Here are parts of it.
Ezra 6:3-12
Let the temple be rebuilt…
The costs are to be paid by the royal treasury…
Now then, Tattenai, governor of Trans-Euphrates, and Shethar-Bozenai and you, their fellow officials of that province, stay away from there. 7 Do not interfere with the work on this temple of God. Let the governor of the Jews and the Jewish elders rebuild this house of God on its site…
The expenses of these men are to be fully paid out of the royal treasury…
May God, who has caused his Name to dwell there, overthrow any king or people who lifts a hand to change this decree or to destroy this temple in Jerusalem…
Incredible! The local leaders were trying to use their authority to intimidate and thwart the building of the temple, and yet, an appeal to the king gave permission, resources, and protection to do so.
God is sovereign. We place our trust in Him. We can even appeal. We know in this world, ruled by those who may be against God, we may not always get the best result.
But if God has clearly led us to do something, we need to keep trusting Him and make our appeal.
