I am struck by Ezra. God’s favour over his life.
Ezra 7:6
The king had granted him everything he asked, for the hand of the Lord his God was on him.
Is it no wonder why God was blessing his life.
Ezra 7:9-10
for the gracious hand of his God was on him. 10 For Ezra had devoted himself to the study and observance of the Law of the Lord, and to teaching its decrees and laws in Israel.
Ezra was committed to knowing God’s word and helping others know God’s word.
God opened the heart of the king and blessed the desires of his heart.
It reminds me of Psalms 1:2-3
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.
May we be like Ezra, knowing God’s word and helping others to know God through His word.
